Over the last few days the whole of the country has been bombarded by strong winds and heavy rainfall but Cork is still one of the worst affected areas.
This timelapse video, taken by Ronan Kirby from his office, shows just how quickly the rising floods submerged the city.

And it wasn’t the only clip to show the impact the weather has had on Cork this week. This Facebook video shows people using alternative transport to get around.

It seems people aren't the only ones affected. As can be seen in this clip from Stuart Thompson, this lonely traffic cone also got caught up in the floods.

From what Met Éireann is predicting, there could be more pictures and videos like this to come over the next few days. The gale force winds and heavy showers are set to continue with a risk of flooding.
