RTÉ's Carl Mullan and his wife Aisling were left frightened as their three-year-old daughter was rushed to the hospital after taking a bad fall over the weekend.
The 2FM presenter has since praised the hospital staff for taking care of his little girl.
Mullan and his wife share three kids, Daibhi, four, Eala, three, and one-year-old Beibhinn.
Over the weekend, the family went on a road trip to Kinsale in Cork, however, their trip quickly took a turn for the worse.
Taking to Instagram, Aisling told her followers: “Kinsale was great for the less than 24 hours we spent there. Eala and I took a fabulous trip for a two-night stay to Cork University Hospital for the rest of the weekend.
“Eala decided to set her sights on starting early training for Base Jumping from my shoulders, unfortunately, landing on solid ground on her head.
“Very lucky to have the highly skilled and compassionate care from the amazing nurses on Puffin Ward: Margaret, Nicola, and Jinky.
“Thanks to the ED nursing staff: Finola, Kate, Jodie- for the coffee, chats, the constant reassurance and care. You all are truly amazing!”
However scary the situation must have been, Aisling tried lifting the mood by attaching a photo of Eala happily skipping down the hospital corridor.
Carl then also took to social media, giving an update on their daughter's condition as well as expressing his gratitude to the hospital staff.
He wrote: "We had a bit of a fright over the weekend after Eala had a very bad fall and had two nights in hospital with a concussion.
“Thank God, she is on the mend now and will be absolutely fine.”
The 36-year-old added: “We cannot thank the staff (particularly those in the Puffin Ward) enough, for all the incredible care she received.”
Carl then went on to share a photo of himself and Eala holding hands in the hospital, and the comments quickly flooded with heartfelt messages wishing Eala a speedy recovery.
Fellow 2FM co-host and influencer Roz Purcell wrote: “So glad she is doing okay.”
Irish influencer Terrie McEvoy added: “Glad to hear all is ok! Nothing worse than the worry!!!”
Podcaster Sinead O’Moore remarked: “My heart did a flip just reading that! I hope your nervous system can be rebooted soon!”
