They say the show must go on… even if you are stuck in a tree.
Britney’s latest performance was struck by a case of technical failure this week, when her harness gave up working mid-routine.
The singer, who was waiting on a tree perch to be air-lifted and flown into centre-stage, was left switching her hips and flicking her hair in a bid to kill time while staff tried to fix the fault.
In a video posted by TMZ, the singer could be seen carrying on through her Toxic set, while a member of stage crew then ran up to free her of the bogus harness and let her escape to the stage down the back steps:
Ever the professional, Britney can be seen racing down the steps before being joined by her dancers to continue the number.
The action was caught up close by one audience member, who saw the struggle to free her from the harness:
While it could be awkward for some, at least she managed not to fly off the handle.
At least today is a new day... plenty of time to turn over a new leaf.
