Ozempic has taken over Hollywood with the biggest stars shrinking before our eyes, but so few of them speak openly and honestly about it.
They shy away from discussing their rapid weight loss and unrecognisable appearances, but Kris Jenner has discussed her personal experience with Ozempic in a new episode of the SHE MD Podcast.
It's rare to hear a celebrity speak about Ozempic so honestly, but Jenner revealed that she stopped taking the weight-loss drug quite quickly after starting it.
She explained why, "I did not do, like, an Ozempic. I tried it. We tried it once when no one knew what it was, and it made me really sick.”
Jenner said one of the main side effects she experienced was constantly feeling nauseous, so she called her personal physician, Dr. Aliabadi, and asked her to find an alternative for her.
“I called her up one day, and I go, ‘I can't work anymore. I can't, I'm so sick. I can't like - nauseous.’ And so she goes, ‘Okay, okay, let's try something else.’”
Kris explained that a combination of peptide injection, supplements, fish oils, and omega-3s was a better fit for her needs.
She added, "That actually bought me an extra couple of hours at night because I get up so early. I tend to want to go and collapse as soon as I have my last email or my last call or see my kids and have dinner, and I'm done."
Kris also revealed that she gets her blood checked every three months.
She shared, "I get my blood drawn every three months just to keep my hormones balanced, because I realized after I was 45 that it was so important to your physical female health, just to keep that balanced."
