Pete Burns, the founding member of the band Dead or Alive, has died at the age of 57.
A statement on behalf of the band was released on Burns’ official Twitter account on Monday evening confirming that the singer had died of “a massive cardiac arrest” on Sunday.

The band are best known for the song ‘You Spin Me Round,’ which was a number one hit and achieved huge success worldwide in 1985.

Burns subsequently had a solo career and appeared on a series of TV programmes, including Celebrity Big Brother, Celebrity Wife Swap and Come Dine with Me.
