Mischa Barton has shared the first look at the upcoming reboot of The Hills.
Fans of the MTV reality show went wild earlier this summer when the reboot was confirmed. The show, aptly called
The Hills: New Beginnings, will reunite some of the original cast - and hit TV screens sometime in 2019.
Many familiar faces have already signed on to the show, including Brody Jenner, Heidi and Spencer, Audrina and Justin Bobby.
And earlier this month, it was revealed that
Mischa Barton, who played Marissa Cooper on The O.C., will be joining them.
The 32-year-old took to Instagram on Friday to share the first behind-the-scenes look at the reboot - and fans are freaking out.
The picture shows
The O.C. star posing between her new co-stars, Stephanie Pratt and Audrina Partridge.
And in a nod to the movie
Mean Girls, she captioned the post:
"On wednesdays we wear whatever we want... and you can totally sit with us."
Mischa shared the news she was joining
The Hills on Instagram, calling it an "irresistibly inviting new chapter."
She wrote:
"The secret’s out... I’m joining the cast of The Hills. When MTV approached me with the chance to be a part of the reality show that was inspired by The OC, it felt like the perfect opportunity for an irresistibly inviting new chapter."
