Kesha took the opportunity to thank fans last night, after she was awarded the Human Rights Campaign's Visibility Award at the 2016 Nashville Equality Dinner.
Following her very public legal battle with Dr Luke, Kesha accepted the award on stage while acknowledging the ongoing support she felt from fans worldwide.
Addressing the audience, the Timber singer said:
"As many of you know I am going through some personal things that have been really intense and hard lately, and I just want to say thank you for any support I have received.”
As well as her recent struggles with being freed from her music label, the star focused on the “strange and unnatural” experience of fame:

The award comes just weeks after a judge ruled that Kesha could not break her contract with the music producer Dr Luke because it had been heavily negotiated and it wouldn't be commercially reasonable.
Kesha alleges that Dr. Luke, whose real name is Lukas Gottwald, raped her 10 years ago after using a pill to 'knock her out'.
Dr Luke meanwhile claims that Kesha's allegations are "“outright lies that have been advanced to extort a contract renegotiation and money”.
Sony Music, the label representing the singer, released a statement to The New York Times on the issue: “Sony has made it possible for Kesha to record without any connection, involvement or interaction with Luke whatsoever, but Sony is not in a position to terminate the contractual relationship between Luke and Kesha".
“Sony is doing everything it can to support the artist in these circumstances, but is legally unable to terminate the contract to which it is not a party".
