Curtis Pritchard has responded to the speculation that Maura Higgins will be hosting winter Love Island.
The Longford native has been one of the people tipped to take over the role after Caroline Flack stepped down from the series earlier this week.
Especially after she posted a photo of herself flying off to "shoot something very exciting".
However, her boyfriend Curtis Pritchard has now weighed in on the rumours in an attempt to "put an end to this rumour."
"I am going to put an end to this rumour," he said on
Hits Radio, when asked if Maura would be presenting the series. "So, no, she's working. She isn't going to do what everybody thinks she is going to do. She isn't flying out [there]. It just seems to be coincidence at the same timing."
And when
Hits Radio's Fleur East said that she would be "very disappointed" if the professional dancer wasn't telling them the truth, Curtis doubled down on his assurances.
"If I'm lying to you now, that means she's lying to me," he said.
Guess that settles it so.
Caroline Flack announced on Tuesday morning that she had decided to "stand down" for the upcoming series of
Love Island following her assault charge.
The new series is due to start in early January.
Following the news, ITV issued a statement confirming the they would be "in contact with her over the coming months about future series of
Love Island."
Former contestant Olivia Attwood is said to be
in talks to take over hosting duties on Aftersun, while Laura Whitmore is reportedly in talks to host the main series -
