Ah, fluich sake.

Doesn’t look like our summer is getting better any time soon as Met Éireann issue a status yellow rain warning for parts of the country. Rainfall this morning is expected to lead to accumulations of 15 to 30mm in places, with the highest rainfall in coastal and hilly areas with local spot flooding. The warning is in place for Wexford, Cork, Kerry and Waterford and will remain in place until midday. Nationally there will be rain pretty much everywhere and it looks like it's set to be pretty persistent all day long. This afternoon will get brighter this with sunny spells and scattered showers. The rain will continue tomorrow but will get drier in the afternoon. The rest of the week is set to be changeable. It’s expected to be quite cold and breezy on Thursday and Friday but less cold over the weekend. Thursday is expected to have some bright periods in the morning but mostly cloudy with rain developing for a time in most areas, however, it will turn brighter but rather showery later. It’ll be cool, breezy and showery on Friday with some prolonged showers in places. The weekend will be a touch better with only a few showers and highs of 20 degrees in some southern areas on Sunday.
