Two autopsies have returned no suggestion of foul play in the death of Tim Bergling, more widely known as Avicii.
Police in Oman have declared that there was no “criminal suspicion” in the death of the 28-year-old Swedish dance music star. No other details regarding his death have been confirmed yet.
Public broadcaster SVT reported on Sunday that the postmortems revealed nothing suspicious and this report has been corroborated by
CNN. In a statement made to the broadcaster, Royal Oman Police have said:
"Two postmortems were carried out ... and we can confirm that there is no criminal suspicion in the death."
Bergling had been visiting Oman on holiday.
Since the tragic news, his parents and three siblings have arrived in the country, and they will return with his body to his native Sweden.
Over the weekend, thousands of
fans gathered in central Stockholm to pay tribute to the musician.
