“I will never stop doing my part."

In the statement shared on Instagram, Blake Lively described the legal battle as "unfathomably painful" and claimed she remains determined to continue with the parts of the case that are still due to go to trial.

The actress added that she felt a responsibility to keep speaking out, expressing hope that her experience might help protect other women from retaliation after raising workplace concerns.

The statement, shared on Lively’s Instagram, states, “I will never stop doing my part in fighting to expose the systems and people who seek to harm, shame, silence and retaliate against victims.”

A federal judge in New York dismissed 10 of Lively’s 13 claims, including allegations of sexual harassment, defamation and conspiracy. However, her retaliation and breach of contract claims tied to Baldoni’s production company, Wayfarer Studios, are set to move forward.

According to the ruling, Lively was unable to pursue her sexual harassment claims under federal law because she was classified as an independent contractor rather than an employee. The judge also determined that California law did not apply, as the alleged conduct occurred outside the state.

Lively's legal team has since said the ruling did not go to the substance of her allegations and argues that retaliation remains at the centre of the case.

Baldoni has always denied the allegations against him, and his lawyers welcomed the court’s decision to narrow the lawsuit.

The legal dispute arises from the production of the 2024 film It Ends With Us.

Baldoni himself previously filed a $400 million countersuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds and others, however, that case was dismissed last year.

The remaining claims are scheduled to go before a jury when the case goes to trial in New York on 18 May, with both Lively and Baldoni expected to testify.
