We’re more used to seeing her on the Ireland AM couch than behind the wheel, but this week we're chatting to the lovely Anna Daly about testing times, road-tripping and tunes for the journey…

What is the first car you owned?
A VW Polo. A few years on the Peugeot 206cc stole my heart, a great looking car and very reliable too. Then my biggest waste of money, the Mini Cooper S cabriolet. A superb drive but everything seemed to go wrong on it.
Who taught you how to drive?
My Dad. Looking back he was very patient and really took his time teaching me properly.
Did you pass your test first time?
Yes! Didn't even need the short skirt!!

What is your favourite driving music?
At the moment I'm enjoying Lana Del Ray and Emily Sande but normally it could be anything from Jay Z to Arcade Fire. I mix it up with a bit of talk radio too.
When you get the chance, where in the world would you roadtrip to first?
I'd probably suggest (if you don't suffer from travel sickness ideally!) that the Great ocean road in Melbourne was a spectacular experience.
For family excursions, who does the driving?
My husband Ben, like most men he thinks he's a great driver!
