Have you got an Audi? If so… can we have a lift home?
Just kidding. But you are being asked to participate in a very special drive. Audi brand ambassador and TV presenter Kathryn Thomas is calling on Audi drivers across the country to get behind the wheel for charity this June 16th and support Audi Waterford’s Guinness World Records™ attempt for longest Audi convoy in the world.
The current record stands at 282 Audi cars and Audi Waterford is confident that it can smash this record on the day as well as raise money for four worthy causes. All monies raised at the event will be split between – Solas Centre, Temple St. Children’s Hospital, RESPECT and Waterford Hospice Movement.
To take part in this event, simply call 01 291 6373 or email rsvp@audievent.ie to register your car and Audi Waterford will send you a sponsorship pack in the post.
Brendan Walsh, general manager, Audi Waterford said: “We are calling on our loyal Audi customers in the south east and indeed around the country to get involved in this fun event and help raise money for four worthy causes. The current record stands at 282 Audi’s which was set in Germany but we are confident that we can beat this record on the day.”
“I would also like to say a big thank you to BEAT 102-103 who are getting behind this initiative locally and will be joining the convoy in their branded Audi A1s.”
Registration on the day will commence from 10:30am sharp with the Guinness World Records™ attempt commencing at11:30am. The attemptwill take in a 9km route around Waterford before finishing up at the Audi Waterford dealership where there will be entertainment provided.
