If, like us, you get lost every time you drive somewhere you haven’t been before, then it’s probably time to invest in a satellite navigation system.
Not only do they reduce stress levels when driving, they aim to provide the quickest and most fuel-efficient route to your destination thus saving you time and money.
A lot of systems also contain maps and directions for mainland Europe meaning it will come in handy on holidays.
But don’t forget that satellite navigation systems can attract thieves so always keep yours in a safe place and never store your personal details, such as a home address, in them.
Our pick of the bunch is the Garmin nüvi 255W (T) which costs approximately €160.00
This portable system provides directions, including points of interests and maps for Europe, and has an advanced safety camera warning system.
As well as 2D and 3D map options it brings you up-to-date information about accidents and delays so you can avoid congestion during your trip.
With this model there are a number of add-on options including holders and microSD cards including Garmin Travel and Language Guides.
We would advise you to consult an expert when purchasing your satellite navigation system as not all of them will cater for your needs and some will require extra parts.
