As Storm Frank rages on, some unnerving scenes emerged today of terrible weather conditions.
While some people were forced to finish their pints with the water rising against their bar stool, others were forced from their homes in Cork and offered accommodation in local hotels.
We even reported about this Ryanair plane which was forced to abort its landing this afternoon following the strong winds.
Now the Irish mammy reactions have started, and it’s fair to say we’re going to hear a lot of our own mums calling out some of these responses as the news and images unfold over the next few days.
Essie Josie sent us a short clip she shot of her mum watching a plane hovering against the wind in Dublin Airport today – and it seems her mum was as anxious as us when the aircraft got close to the ground…

Thankfully, nobody has been injured and all flights are being handled with care, but it’s still not surprising that witnessing this scene might leave you with palpitations.
