This is mad.
Employees of a branch of Burger King in Coon Rapids, Minnesota were tricked into smashing all the windows of the premises to 'keep it from exploding'.
According to local news station KSTP, the incident happened on Friday evening when employees received a phone call claiming to be from the fire department of the town.
The person on the line warned that the restaurant was pressurised and could blow up unless the employees broke the windows to relieve the pressure.
The employee was convinced enough that multiple windows in the restaurant were smashed, with one employee receiving a minor cut during the incident.
Police are endeavouring to find the person who played this prank.
It is not the first time something like this has happened, with similar calls reported in California and Oklahoma.
