This is great.
In recent days, Houston, Texas has been devastated by severe flooding, causing widespread damage.
However, life can't just judder to a halt, and the world continues to move. Cathy Allen Rude is a midwife who took matters into her own hands when she needed to move off her flooded street to reach the clinic where she worked on Tuesday last.
According to the
Wichita Eagle, the 63-year-old midwife had a patient that was due to give birth, and the baby probably wouldn't wait for the roads to clear up.
The mother of the baby apparently saw her neighbour riding an inflatable swan and asked them if they could give Rude a lift with all her equipment to the clinic, and they kindly obliged.
This woman is so dedicated that she is actually going to stay at her clinic until the roads clear up, so she can help new mams give birth.
How deadly is she?
