Who's booking flights then?

Floating hotels have been a thing for a while now. They've been popping up everywhere from the States to the UK to actual Cork. As far as floating hotels go, they do seem to be a bit of novelty. More style over substance, especially when you realise that you're essentially just spending the night on a boat. Don't worry though because we're not going to entirely ruin the floating hotel concept. Mainly because there's one opening up in Sweden soon and it literally looks incredible and we need to book flights immediately. The Arctic Bath Hotel is a floating wellness retreat that sits on water during the summer and is suspended on ice during the winter. Yep, suspended on literal ice. Doesn't exactly sound like the safest experience in the world but sure look, anything for the Insta. The retreat will float on the River Lule near Lapland and will be painted all white to blend in with the snow and ice that surrounds it. The outside will also resemble a pile of white sticks, just to give it that extra futuristic/foliage feel, we guess. In the very centre of the hotel, there's a considerably large plunge pool that guests can take a wee dip in. It'll only be heated to about four degrees though so we don't really know how relaxing that would be but sure look, warm yourself up in one of the many jacuzzis afterwards if you're feeling slightly worse for wear. The retreat includes a plethora of spa treatments too, offering everything from massages to facials. Guests will be able to experience the northern lights or avail of some whale watching too. The hotel will offer six rooms separate from the retreat itself that will also either float or sit atop ice in the winter. The floating ice hotel will be welcoming its first guests from "early 2018." We have no idea exactly when that will be, but we do know that we're incredibly excited to see the class Instas that'll come out of staying here.
