For the cake:

• 250 g Plain Flour
• 175 ml Buttermilk
• 100 g Butter
• 250 g Caster Sugar
• Large Eggs x 2
• 10 g Dr. Oetker Baking Powder (2 Tsp)
• Dr. Oetker Lime Green Gel Food Colour (2 Tubes)
• 10 ml Dr. Oetker Madagascan Vanilla Extract (2 tsp)
• 5 ml Vinegar (1 Tsp)

For the icing:

• 125 g Cream Cheese
• 125 g Butter
• 300 g Icing Sugar

1. Preheat oven to 170C and line a 7'cake tin or 2 sandwich tins
2. In a large bowl or processor cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy
3. Sieve the flour and Baking Powder together in a separate bowl
4. In a jug measure the buttermilk and add the Gel Food Colouring and vinegar
5. Add half the flour mixture to the egg and sugar mixture and combine
6. Add half of the now green buttermilk and vinegar and combine
7. Repeat again until all is combined and you are left with a thick batter
8. Pour the mixture into your tin and bake for 20mins if using sandwich tins or 35 minutes in a 7' tin
9. Remove from tins and leave to cool
10. Meanwhile make your buttercream by combining all ingredients together in a food processor and beat for 8-10minutes
11. When cakes are cooled sandwich together with1/3 of the buttercream and use the remaining buttercream to cover the outside
