Good lord.
Complex report that a man from Maryborough in Queensland was detained for FOUR MONTHS after police found what they believe to be crystal meth in his car.
For some reason, the testing on the substance took FOUR MONTHS to prove that it was in fact, salt.
The length of time the man served could be due to the fact that he had previous convictions, but all charges have been dropped and he's out of the pen.
Apparently, Forensic and Scientific Services regularly delay forensic testing, so there could be countless other inmates in jail, who swear that the bag of 'cocaine' that was in their kitchen is in fact caster sugar, as they are enthusiastic bakers.
This poor guy will probably be too scared to season his chips ever again.
