Fast food favourite KFC has banned under-18s from branches in Stoke-On-Trent in the UK because of fears for the safety of staff.
The under-18s will not be allowed sit in the restaurant unless they are accompanied by a responsible adult, according to the
Bristol Post.
A manager of one of the affected branches said:
"The way some of these youngsters act can be scary for staff. People shouldn't have to experience that. "
According to the manager, the teenagers were only coming in to use the free wifi and were causing trouble in the restaurant. They are allowed to order their meal but must leave the restaurant after they receive their food.
McDonald's bosses at the same retail park in Stoke On Trent made a statement about implementing the policy.
"Following ongoing issues with anti-social behaviour, the police advised us to introduce a takeaway-only policy in our Meir Park restaurant for unaccompanied under 18s. Measures like this are a last resort and taken in the interests of the safety of our customers and crew. This policy is under constant review."
