Ukranian women have come up with a new plan to stop Russia from annexing Crimea. If you're a woman who believes that you are more than a hot body used for sex, you might want to sit down.
The campaign simply sells t-shirts with a clasped pair of hands and the slogan: “Don’t give it to a Russian.”
Actual female journalists and activists are behind the
campaign to promote the cause of the Ukrainian army. The logo is accompanied by a quote from Ukrainian national poet Taras Shevchenko:
"O dark-browed maidens fall in love, but not with the Moskals [Russians]." The shirts sells for €23.
Katerina Venzhik, the group's founder said to reporters at
Foreign Policy that the goal is for countrywomen to "fight the enemy in any way!"
The ancient greek boycott has been tried before in Kenya and Japan with completely different results. Either way, this could be the opposite of every feminist argument these women have ever made before.
