Tired of the same old scene?
Taking place at the stunning Killruddery Estate in Bray, Co Wicklow in July, Groove is one of Ireland's newest, freshest festivals. Headliners James Morrison (Saturday 6th) and Imelda May (Sunday 7th) will be joined by a host of Irish and international names making Groove the place to be this July.
James Morrison, Ali Campbell's UB40, Soul II Soul Sound System, Gavin James, The Original Rudeboys and Solar Taxi will all be entertaining the crowds on Saturday, while on Sunday Imelda May, Jack Lukeman, Damien Dempsey, Jerry Fish, Lazy Habits and Propeller Palms will be doing their thing.
On the Whelan's Live stage, Saturday will see Hermitage Green, Hudson Taylor, Cry Monster Cry, Little Bear and O Emperor sing for their supper, and the same stage on Sunday will welcome Ham Sandwich, The Raglans, The Notas, Big September, Swords and the Bray Gospel Choir.
Outside of the music, there are a host of reasons to visit Groove this summer. The food available at Groove will be a little different, as Master Chef John Coughlan Catering has been engaged to put on something special. From hog roast to sit down tapas bar, Asian to coffee and cakes, this will be a festival for the taste buds as much as the ears!
You'll also be able to check out the best County Wicklow has to offer in terms of food and crafts in the "Local Wicklow market" at Groove. Diversity Tent, Groove’s charitable partner VSO is the world’s leading volunteer sending organisation. Recruiting professionals from the areas of health, education, business management, IT and community development VSO volunteers currently combat poverty in over 33 countries worldwide. VSO will be creating a special education and diversity area at Groove showcasing its work and acknowledging the impact Irish volunteers make on a placement with VSO.
Kids are welcome too. Every adult can bring one child under 12 for free. With some great activities lined up, the Groove kids zone will be an exciting and safe place for children over the weekend.
We've got three pairs of tickets to give away for Saturday, and another three pairs for Sunday. If you want to win a pair, just answer the simple question below. Good luck!
