The absolute most important and time-consuming thing about sixth year is the debs planning.
Well.
We guess there's that other thing, but we're not going to mention that.
The debs is THE event of every post-school student's autumn. A camaraderie of sorts develops with your new college classmates as, week after week, students come into class looking on the verge of death, with that morning-after-the-debs air about them (ah, those first few weeks of college when every week was a golden week).
HOWEVER that is all in the future for you fresh-faced sixth years. The only thing that is on your mind at the moment is the early-stage planning.
Where will the venue be? Where will the money-raising pre-debs be? How much are tickets? WHO are you going to go with?!
Well, we have a simply wonderful competition that all of you sixth years can enter that will instantly solve all of those problems. Except maybe the last one. Sorry.
Vodafone thinks that you students should be able to have the best debs EVER and that the only thing you should be worrying about this year is the thing-that-shall-not-be-mentioned. So they are going to give one lucky school a whopping ten THOUSAND euro to plan the debs of your dreams.
To be in with a chance to win, here's what you have to do.
- Nominate someone in your class to register your school with Vodafone here.
- Round up 30 more of your classmates and get them to switch to Vodafone X - you have two weeks to do this after registering your school.
- Finally, fill out a form telling Vodafone the number of students who have moved to the network (Vodafone will send you this form by text once you register).
Every school with 30 or more signups before the closing date on Friday, 30 November will be entered into the draw. One lucky winner will be chosen at random from the draw and will win that gorgeous €10k for your debs.
Now the only thing you have to worry about is what you're going to wear.
