Netflix has released the official trailer for the first half of Ozark's fourth season, revealing that the episodes will be available to stream from 21 January. The final season of the critically-acclaimed show will have 14 full-length episodes, split into two parts consisting of seven episodes each. Created by Bill Dubuque and Mark Williams, the show rose to popularity for its unique mix of family drama and exciting crime storylines. Jason Bateman will return in his leading role of Marty Byrde, with Laura Linney as Wendy Byrde, Julia Garner as Ruth Langmore, and Felix Solis returning as drug cartel leader Omar Navarro. In season three, the family were at odds with Helen Pierce (Janet McTeer), as Navarro breathed down both their necks. The feud between the two resulted in a shocking ending that left audiences on the edge of their seats. The new trailer doesn't give much away but it shows how season four intends to tie up loose ends from season three. While fans of the show are devastated that season four will be the final installment, they can take solace that in the fact that 14 episodes is a lot - and can basically be treated as two seasons. "We're so happy Netflix recognised the importance of giving Ozark more time to end the Byrdes' saga right," producer Chris Mundy told Variety. "It's been such a great adventure for all of us — both on screen and off — so we're thrilled to get the chance to bring it home in the most fulfilling way possible."
