The blanket Kate Middleton has used after all her children were born have been from one specific company, and the item is called the Nottingham lace shawl. Queen Elizabeth II was the first to use the company in 1948 after she gave birth to Prince Charles. Following her lead, Princess Diana used them for both Prince William and Prince Harry. Gillian Taylor, director of G.H. Hurt & Son, told Cosmo about the tradition: "We feel so honored that William and Kate have again chosen our beautiful merino wool lacy knitted baby shawls and in doing so have continued a tradition for the next generation of royals."
