'Some wounds never heal.'

Armie Hammer and Dakota Johnson are being pushed to the edge of madness - and seemingly, beyond - in the chilling first look at Wounds.  The movie is set to be released by Hulu in the United States on October 18, while Netflix will release the movie to an international audience on the same day. The description for the movie reads:

"When a New Orleans bartender picks up a cell phone dropped in a brawl, he begins to receive ominous messages -- and finds his sanity slowly unravelling."

The trailer starts with a fight breaking out a bar, where someone appears to get stabbed with a broken bottle. Closing up that night, Will (Armie Hammer) is picking up in the aftermath - where he finds a phone which has some fairly chilling things on it. “We shouldn’t have messed with those books! I’m scared," ominous texts from someone named Garrett warn (and, realistically, they were probably a sign Will should put the phone back). And then there's the whole business of whatever was in the videos Will saw while scrolling through the phone... The horrors continue to unfold, with Will's girlfriend Carrie (Dakota Johnson) becoming involved - and he tries to get to the bottom of what's really going on. Wounds is based on the novella The Visible Filth by Nathan Ballingrud. Zazie Beetz and Neon Demon‘s Karl Glusman also star in the film. Wounds debuts on Netflix on October 18 (or on Hulu on the same date, depending where you are in the world).
