That's the question Vogue Williams will be attempting to answer in her latest documentary, Vogue: Is Monogamy Dead?, which airs tonight on RTÉ2.
The model and reality star is exploring how relationships have changed over the past few decades and whether the concept of being with one person for life is outdated.
We'll see Vogue meeting men and women who don't subscribe to the idea of monogamy and reflecting on how open relationships fit into society in 2018.
She also catches up with a doctor to chat about how STIs have made a resurgence recently thanks to casual sex.
Vogue is very much in a monogamous state herself right now.
She married her partner Spencer Matthews in June of this year and the couple became parents just last week when they welcomed their first child, a little boy.
They haven't shared his name yet but Vogue wrote on Instagram that the child is "beautiful and healthy" and that she and Spencer feel "truly blessed".
Vogue: Is Monogamy Dead? is on RTÉ2 at 9.30pm tonight, Wednesday 12 September.
