Around Her.ie Towers, Pitch Perfect 2 is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated movies of 2015.  So, you can only imagine our excitement when we were invited to live the dream and actually take part in a Pitch Perfect style a capella workshop. After an in-office battle (sing-off) our intrepid reporter Liz headed off, Bella's style scarf in bag just in case, to meet the Trinitones. Liz is a huge fab of the original film, in particular the comedic and vocal talents of Fat Amy (Rebel Wilson). It's fair to say that everyone on Team Her.ie has heard our lovely Liz singing around the office all day every day, but how would she fare when put to the test? Well, thanks to Universal Pictures, our girl spent the afternoon paired up with Neil and Connor from the Trinitones for a quick-fire lesson on how the Barden Bellas et all manage to make those amazing sounds. The group were taught how to sing the famous ‘cup song’ (When I’m Gone) from the first movie which Beca (Anna Kendrick) performs at her audition for the a capella group. Naturally, it all led up to another battle. Don't even ask who won. We did. Naturally. Except maybe when it came to beat-boxing. With just one chance left at redeeming their legacy, the Bellas must fight for their right to win the World Championships of A Cappella in Copenhagen.  And as they struggle to balance the pressures of musical domination with senior angst, it will take the power of sisterhood to find their voice and see what it takes to be the world’s top pitches.
