It won’t be long now until we’re inundated with ‘best of’ lists from 2016, but considering that a lot of us will be spending a lot of time in front of the telly in the next month or so, this is an important one.
Influential movie magazine Empire have published their top ten movies of 2016 in the December edition and alongside much-hyped offerings such as Arrival, The Hateful Eight and The Revenant is a small-budget comedy from New Zealand at number one.
If you haven’t seen Hunt for the Wilderpeople, we’re not going to spoil it for you (you can read more about it here if you wish) but it’s a funny, charming story brimming with heart and featuring a star in the making in Julian Dennison (Ricky).
