Three vodka based cocktails that’ll jingle your bells this festive season

We just can't choose which one to make.

There's no doubt that going out for NYE is always exciting. Getting all dolled up, having a few predrinks and hitting the town ahead of the big countdown is a blast. But there's also a case to be made for hosting a small get together with your favourite gals for more of a chilled vibe. You save yourself the ordeal of rammed pubs, growing old while you wait to be served and not to mention the nightmare of trying to get a taxi home. Each to their own, but whatever your plans tomorrow evening, we're sure you could do with a cocktail or two! So whether you're inviting a few round for predrinks or staying in for the night, we have three cocktail recipes courtesy of Absolut Vodka that will seriously elevate your hosting skills.

Absolut Honey Highball

50ml Absolut Vodka

25ml Lime Juice

1 heaped bar spoon of honey or 20ml honey and water (mixed 1:1)

Top with Kombucha or Ginger Ale

Pour all ingredients apart from the Kombucha or Ginger Ale into a shaker. Shake it and strain into a highball filled with ice cubes. Top with Kombucha or Ginger Ale. Garnish with two orange slices.

Strawberry & Basil Vodka Soda

30ml Absolut Vodka

100ml Soda

Lime Wedges

Pour Absolut Vodka into a highball glass, squeeze two lime wedges and discard. Add ice cubes and top with soda and garnish with sliced strawberries and basil sprig.

25ml Absolut Vodka

10ml Grenadine

15ml Lemon Juice

Pour all ingredients into an ice-filled shaker. Shake and strain into a shot glass. Garnish with a raspberry or chocolate-dipped strawberry.
