Anna May - Banríon An Plough tells the story of Anna May McHugh, the event's managing director, as she gets ready for yet another year of agriculture and trade in Screggan, Co. Offaly. The national treasure has been at the helm of the Ploughing for 67 years, organising the event and working tirelessly to ensure that everything goes off without a hitch each year. The TG4 doc will follow Anna May to give audiences "... an insight into the current event, as well as her deep historical knowledge, going back to the 1940s.
