The first full trailer for season two of Liar is finally here and we're already hooked.
The ITV thriller had viewers gripped when it first aired back in 2017. And ever since that massive cliffhanger at the end of season one, we've been keeping our eye out for anything to do with season two.
And based off of the trailer, it looks like it will definitely have been worth the wait.
Joanne Froggatt's Laura Nielson admits in the voiceover that she wanted Andrew to "suffer", and that it was "all I could think about."
"When I found out he was dead I was relieved that he couldn't hurt anyone else the way he hurt me, the way he hurt so many people, ruined so many lives," she continues.
"There are some people who will think that whoever killed him is a hero. Somehow he's still doing it, messing with my life, he's dead and he's still playing games with me," she continues. "I don't know who killed Andrew Earlham, but I'm not taking the fall for it. He's not going to ruin my life all over again."
However, after one clip sees her being escorted into a prison cell after a tense stand-off with police, it looks like they may not quite believe her...
And while Laura seems to be the prime suspect for Andrew's murder, she isn't the only one. The footage also gives brief glimpses of all of the other people who had their own reason to kill Andrew - and introduces Katherine Kelly as the detective who is investigating his death.
Around this time last year, the writers of Liar gave some hints about what fans can expect in season two - and dropped a hint about when it will arrive on our telly screens.
Harry and Jack Williams sat down with TV Times, where they promised fans who were frustrated by the cliffhanger would be "rewarded for their patience."
"Joanne Froggatt and Ioan Gruffudd are back. We’re delighted that anyone frustrated by the cliffhanger will be rewarded for their patience," they said [via GoodHousekeeping]. "Questions are answered and the title is central."
Liar will be back on ITV in March.
