After a week of making headline news, Seann Walsh and Katya Jones had to come out and perform on this week’s episode of Strictly last night. Yes, the pair were visibly nervous before they took to the dance floor during last night’s show to perform the Charleston. Their routine erred on the side of caution as they performed a comedic routine dressed as pizza parlour employees. But it did enough to impress the judges as Seann and Katya racked up some pretty high scores, with head judge Shirley even calling their performance “outstanding”.

However, after waiting all night to get a glimpse of the couple, Strictly viewers had a lot to say about the pair’s anticipated performance. Yes, BBC bosses made viewers wait until the very end of the show to see the pair’s routine, with Twitter lighting up as they took to the stage.

Viewers were quick to notice many awkward moments as Seann and Katya returned to the show. Most notably were an unfortunate subtitling error and Katya's husband Neil's reaction to the pair's performance.

According to reports, show bosses also decided to change the pair’s routine to the Charleston from the Rumba in order to prevent a steamy performance after a week of tabloid scandal.
