Given the huge popularity of the show - and the cliff-hanger ending - it seems natural that the gang would unite for one last hurrah.
When we last saw Gavin and Stacey, Nessa (Ruth Jones) was on one knee, popping the question to Smithy (James Corden).
The credits began to roll before Smithy gave an answer.
Gavin and Stacey hit our screens in 2007, and while there's only been 21 episodes in total, the programme captivated audiences both in Ireland and the UK.
The 2019 Christmas Special, for instance, was watched by 18.49 million viewers.
The episode was record-breaking, and it entered British TV history as the most-watched non-sporting event in over a decade. The special also became one of the most-watched comedies in UK history.
