Well, this is the best surprise we could have asked for.

For so many of us, Buffy was the "grown-up" 90s show of our childhood. It was an exciting story that had darker themes than other favourites like Fresh Prince, Saved By the Bell, or Dawson's Creek. We all felt like mini adults watching it. Yeah, that show was pretty iconic and we sure have missed it being on television. Until now, that is. Because, hallelujah - E4 has just announced that they are bring the show back to your TV screens this June. Starting this Monday, June 1, the series will be airing every weekday at 11pm on E4. We are SO excited. The show will also be available on All 4 if want to binge-watch the whole thing but, to be honest, we're almost as excited to watch it on TV every day as we are for the series itself. Just remember that feeling of running to the TV when you realise that it's time for the show to start, excitedly discussing the first half of the show during the ad break, and then, the next day, talking about it with your friends who all just watched the exact same episode. There was something magical about that whole experience. God, we're getting nostalgic. Thank goodness we only have 11 days to wait for this because we don't know if we could hold off much longer. If you're new to the show or you somehow managed to stay away from it while it was on, all you need to know is that this follows Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar), a vampire slayer who is also dealing with all of the usual problems of getting through high school. She's helped along in both her vampire struggles and life struggles by friends Willow (Alyson Hannigan) and Xander (Nicholas Brendon) and by her 'Watcher' Giles (Anthony Head). We won't tell you any more because, if you have managed to stay away from the series thus far, we went you to be able to enjoy it fresh the way the rest of us did back in the late 90s/early 00s. Just know that if you're looking for some great 90s fashion, you will not be disappointed. Speaking on the show's return to TV, Nick Lee, Head of Acquisitions at Channel 4 said:

"We're ecstatic that we get to re-live the phenomenon success Buffy The Vampire Slayer has had over the past 23 years. "This is for many a long-awaited chance to relive this iconic series. For others, it will be a chance to experience it for the very first time, and find out what all the fuss is about!"
