Enniskerry has become particularly popular over the last few weeks.

If you have your heart set on heading out to visit the Disenchanted set in Enniskerry, you're not alone. According to new figures from FREE NOW, ride hailing requests to the Wicklow village have increased by 142%. The village - which is a key filming location for the upcoming sequel to Disney's Enchanted - has undergone a massive transformation.  Shop-fronts have been given a Disney make-over - complete with new paint, flowers and names fit for a fairy-tale. New additions to the town include A Whole Food World Grocers, Potions, Lotions and Notions, and the local pub The Royal Sip. Naturally, fans have been flocking to Enniskerry to check out the town's makeover. Many are also hopeful to catch a glimpse of the film's stars - Patrick Dempsey and Amy Adams. The ride-hailing app FREE NOW has witnessed the town's recent surge in popularity. While the picturesque village has always been a favourite of locals and tourists alike, its recent Disneyfication has given it new life. The company's country manager Niall Carson said: "Enniskerry has always been a popular destination on our app, thanks to its proximity to Dublin the natural beauty of the area and the range of activities and attractions which are nearby. "However, the significant increase in demand over the last month can be in the main attributed to filming in the area as people make their way to Enniskerry to see the magnificent movie sets and perhaps catch a glimpse of the famous stars.” Filming in Enniskerry began earlier this week with most of the village being closed during shooting. The crew will be back throughout July and the production is expected to feature hundreds of extras throughout the shoot. The film picks up ten years after the original. It sees the main cast move out of New York City and embrace the suburbs as part of their Happily Ever After.
