The Grammy nominations were revealed last night and there's a familiar name on the list!

Massive congratulations are in order for Irish singer-songwriter Ruthanne Cunningham who has been nominated for a Grammy. The Dublin native, who has penned hit tracks for the likes of Niall Horan, Britney Spears and Westlife, revealed the news on her Twitter account last night:

Ruthanne is a featured writer on John Legend's album 'A Legendary Christmas' which falls into the 'best traditional pop album' category. Aside from songwriting, Ruthanne is a celebrated vocalist and solo artist in her own right, she recently released her debut album 'Matters Of The Heart' which has been receiving rave reviews from critics.   Speaking to Her about the Grammy nomination Ruthanne said she was beyond thrilled with the nod:

"I can't believe I am a Grammy nominated songwriter!! This is a goal I have wanted to achieve for years and I am absolutely over the moon. To have written songs with John Legend was already huge enough for me and now for that album to be up for a Grammy for best traditional pop album has blown my mind. I just have to find a dress now for the awards show, aaaaahhhh pinch me!"
