Amy watched the footage on Aftersun on Sunday night - something many viewers found tough to see.
"She had the opportunity to see it before and she chose to watch it on live TV," AJ told Metro.
"It was emotional, it’s emotional seeing any of the clips. It brings back those emotions – especially for her. I’m on this side and I’ve already seen it. It’s hard."
