One of our favourite shows from the 90s, The Generation Game, is making a come back. The show was first made famous by Bruce Forsyth during the 70s and featured different families taking part in tasks and games.
This time around presenting duo Mel and Sue will be back together again for a brand new series.
Bruce first fronted the show in the 70s, before Larry Grayson took over from 1978 to 1981, and then returned between 1990 to 1994 to host it again.
The last time it was on TV was in 2001 when it was known as Jim Davidson's Generation Game. There have been a few special editions since then but no series.
It has reinvented itself throughout the years, coming back with different hosts each time but it's the first time the show has had female hosts.
The new series promises to be just as good as we remember with the classic segments such as the conveyor belt making a comeback.
Speaking about the new show Mel and Sue have said:
"It's a cuddly toy, it's a toaster, it's a circular power saw, no it's Mel and Sue doing the Generation Game! We can't believe it, we are so excited!"
Charlotte Moore, Director of Content, says: “The Generation Game is an iconic BBC One show, so to be able to bring it back for today’s audience with Mel and Sue overseeing things is a wonderful moment for the channel.”
Just to give you a taster of what to expect.
