This is the kind of news we could get used to.
It's basic fact - there's not enough women on tv, in films or even in comics.
Women in the media always complain of there not being enough
actresses, performers or
comedians in their field so we get excited when we hear rumours of
women getting lead roles over men.
Many will recall the Iron Man saga, based on the successful character in the Marvel comics, being played by Robert Downey Jr. in the film adaptations.

Well in the future, if the Iron Man films are to continue, they may have to start casting for actresses. Marvel writer Brian Michael Bendis has decided the future of the Iron Man alias lies in the hands of a new character, 15-year-old Riri Williams.
According to
TIME, Riri will take over from traditional character Tony Stark when she joins MIT at the age of 15, discovered after building her own Iron Man suit in her dorm.
Robert Downey Jr. has already tweeted his support for the new character, and going from this picture she looks like she is taking NO SHIT.
Fans on Twitter couldn't contain their enthusiasm for the new black female Iron Man.
