If you were living under a rock over the Christmas holidays, Bird Box was one of the standout Netflix movies that got everyone talking. People were so obsessed with it that the Bird Box challenge even became a thing for a few weeks (which you should definitely not do, obvs). Anyway, now that the hype of the Netflix original is finally settling down, it seems the streaming service is serving us with another thrilling movie. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XdAR-lK43YU Starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Toni Collett, John Malkovich, Rene Russo and Zawe Ashton, Velvet Buzz is the next thing we all need to keep an eye out for. It's a horror that centres around a series of painting that appear to be haunted. But it's not like 'the eyes are watching you' kinda haunted. No, these paintings are seeking revenge for those who have let their greed get in the way of art. It takes a rather terrifying twist when one of the paintings takes revenge out on Gretchen (played by Toni Collett) and kills her... but nobody notices as they think her dead body is part of the art work. Yeah, creepy. Velvet Buzzsaw is due for release on Netflix February 2019.
