Spinning Out was first released on Netflix on January 1. Deadline was the first publication to report the news of the series' cancellation.
Even though the series had been out only for a few weeks, it had already built up a massive - and very loyal - fanbase. So much so that when the news of Spinning Out's cancellation broke, several petitions were launched calling for Netflix to reconsider.
Spinning Out has become the latest show to be cancelled by Netflix after one season.
Last week, it was announced that the musical drama Soundtrack would not be returning for a second season.
From Gossip Girl writer Joshua Safran, the series stars Jenna Dewan, Callie Hernandez, Paul James, Robbie Fairchild, Jahmil French, Campbell Scott, Madeleine Stowe, Christina Milian, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Megan Ferguson and Isaiah Givens.
And it was also recently announced that the post-apocalyptic comedy Daybreak will not be returning for another season - you can read more about that here.Explore more on these topics:
