One of Netflix's latest offerings has got viewers absolutely hooked.
Clickbait, an eight-part TV thriller, follows the mysterious abduction of a man from numerous people's perspectives.
In the first, gripping episode, a chilling video of the captive Nick (Adrien Grenier) leaks online. In the video, he holds up signs, implicating him in some heinous crimes. The signs then inform the viewer that once the video reaches one million views, Nick will be murdered.
From there, it's a race against time, particularly for Nick's sister Pia (Zoe Kazan) who is desperate to save him. However, nothing is quite as it seems, and the viewer is treated to some pretty shocking twists and turns along the way.
Reviews for the show were decidedly mixed. On the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, Clickbait has a 45% rate approval rating with average ratings coming in at 5.7/10.
The consensus there reads: "With an array of flashy, half-formed ideas and thin characterizations, Clickbait is more akin to its namesake than the deeper show it aspires to be."
Despite its frosty reception form critics, viewers were gripped. Shortly after its release at the end of August, Clickbait held onto its spot in Netflix's top 10 most watched titles, and it's still there today. In fact, it's sitting comfortably at number three right now.
It comes as no surprise then, that fans are practically begging for a second installment of this thrilling series.
If you're in the same boat, and are desperate for more Clickbait, then you might be in luck.
Though the show is billed as a "limited" series - which normally indicates a single season programme - the immense popularity of Clickbait may see it get another outing.
According to Forbes, a second series of Clickbait is plausible, and the demand for more is definitely there. However, it seems likely that if we were to get more from the Clickbait univerese, we'll get a fresh set of characters and a completely different storylines.
Either way, we're on board.
