Netflix have cancelled V Wars and October Faction after one season each.

The Hollywood Reporter was the first to report the news.  The vampire drama V Wars, which starred Ian Somerhalder, first debuted on December 5. It was based on IDW Publishing's V Wars, written by Jonathan Maberry. It followed Dr. Luther Swann (Somerhalder), as he enters a horrifying new world when a mysterious disease transforms his best friend, Michael Fayne (Adrian Holmes), into a murderous predator who feeds on other humans. As the disease spreads and more people are transformed, society fractures into opposing camps pitting normal people against the growing number of these “vampires.” Swann finds himself in a race against time to understand what’s happening, while Fayne rises to become the powerful underground leader of the vampires. Sources told the publication that Somerhalder is in talks with Netflix about other possible projects to pursue. October Faction, which debuted on January 23, is based on the IDW Publishing series by Steve Niles. It follows Fred and Deloris Allen who, after the death of Fred’s father, return to their hometown in New York with their 17-year-old twins Geoff and Viv. But the twins' lives are quickly turned upside down when they find out that their seemingly normal and unremarkable parents aren't who they seem: they're not insurances sales representatives, they're trained assassins who hunt monsters. Damian Kindler adapted the series, and served as executive producer and showrunner.
