Netflix have announced a documentary series about tennis player Naomi Osaka.

According to Variety, the series will follow the tennis ace from the US Open last August, as she plays in each of the Grand Slam tournaments this year, and as she gets ready for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. Beyond her journey in the tennis world, the documentary series will also look at her life beyond sports and her travels back to Japan. The docuseries is in association with Uninterrupted, the athlete empowerment brand founded by LeBron James and Maverick Carter. It is directed by Garrett Bradley. Two-time Grand Slam winner Osaka is currently ranked tenth in the world by the Women's Tennis Association.

“To be able to tell my story and let people in during this big year, working with a team that really understands me, has been a rewarding experience. It won’t look like a traditional sports documentary, and I’m so excited to share it with everyone,” Osaka said in a statement. No other details - including a release date or a title for the series - are available just yet.
