Thrilled altogether.
Today marks the release date for the 100th Now That's What I Call Music album.
The albums have been running since 1983 and, to celebrate the milestone, the brand hosted the Now 100 Awards where they invited everyone to vote for their favourite song, favourite female and male singers, best group, etc.
The results are now out and the song voted best song of the Now years (that’s 35 years, people) is...
Drum roll...
Baby One More Time by the one, the only, Britney Spears. Can you hear our cheering? We can’t exactly say that we’re surprised but we can say that we’re DELIGHTED.
I mean, it is THE best song.

Could you pick a more iconic 90s song than this? Or a more influential pop singer for us 90s kids?
The star was also voted best Now female, beating out the likes of Rihanna, Beyoncé, Katy Perry, and Adele.
Go on, Britney.

Ed Sheeran was voted the best Now male, taking George Michael’s number one spot, and Little Mix won the best group category (sorry, Spice Girls) and best act of the teen years.
Bon Jovi’s Livin’ On A Prayer, Britney’s Baby One More Time, Take That’s Rule the World, and Little Mix’s Black Magic were all voted the best songs of the 80s, 90s, 00s, and teens respectively.
