The Beatles are undoubtedly one of the most influential bands in music, and their pop cultural reach is immeasurable.
For a long time, people have been campaigning to be able to listen to the band's music online, with the last major victory for fans coming in 2010 with the inclusion of the band's music on iTunes.
However since then many Spotify users have voiced their desire to hear the Fab Four on the popular streaming service, and it looks like it might actually be happening very soon.
According to Billboard, sources have said that this September saw Universal Music Group's digital executive Rob Wells succeeded in getting papers signed to give Spotify access to the band's legendary back catalogue.
It looks like Christmas Eve will see the addition of Beatles music to the Spotify roster.
It only makes sense for the group to be moving towards streaming, as this is the way most of us now consume our music, with downloads being quickly overtaken by services like Pandora and Spotify.
