"No, eh, dead". Hard to watch...

There are any number of things that can go wrong in the world of live television. Add the possibility of a dodgy Zoom connection into the mix and you've really got yourself a recipe for disaster. But that's not what happened to Alison Hammond when she was interviewing Graham Norton on This Morning. In fact, she probably wishes a bad Zoom line was the worst of her worries. Speaking to Norton she said: "The last time I saw you, you were with your dog out and about. I've just been told I'm gonna be getting a four-legged friend. Have you still got your dog?" You probably know where this is going at this point... Norton replied: "No, eh, dead." Painful stuff. All of this happened while Dermot O'Leary winced awkwardly and said: "That was always going to one of two ways, wasn't it?" Poor Alison, and more importantly poor Graham. Our thoughts are with them both at this difficult time.
