Listen up, cake eater. We all know that ducks fly together and given the nostalgic appeal of the '90s cult classic, you don't need a sage talk from Gordon Bombay to know that Hollywood was always going to go back for another round of hockey. Well, after the original news emerged that that Disney were planning to reboot The Mighty Ducks into a TV series, it's now official. A TV show for their new streaming service Disney+ is now in production. Slash Film have said the new show will start filming in Vancouver from February 10, 2020 until June 1, 2020. In terms of the show's plot, here's what we know "after getting kicked off the junior division Mighty Ducks team, a 13-year-old boy and his mom decide to start their own team, finding players, a coach, and a place to play." In terms of the plot of the first movie, this represents quite the diversion because as we all know, the original film kicked-off when Coach Bombay was legally-required to coach a Pee-Wee hockey team as punishment for his DUI misdemeanour. At present, there's no other information about casting for the TV show to note but let the speculation begin. Now, who would be the most likely to get kicked off the Mighty Ducks team? We're going to with one of the Bash Brothers. Those lads just love going rogue. We wouldn't be surprised if the TV show introduced a plethora of new characters but given our love for the Ducks, we'll be keeping a close eye on this one. The Mighty Ducks original screenwriter, Steven Brill, will join Josh Goldsmith, Cathy Yuspa, George Heller, and Brad Petrigala as executive producers on the new Disney series.
